Equipment needed: Tennis racquet and 3 balls with names or an identifier on balls per person ( balls available for purchase at the pro-shop if needed).
How to reserve time: Interested party will contact coach for availability given the only offerings right now are private lessons. Please find a mutually agreeable time that works with court availability. It is expected that you have paid on-line for this lesson once you have scheduled the lesson and reserved court time.

Students will learn: brash off basic technique and also learn how to serve and rally, how to aim the ball to specific areas of the court, we will cover as well a little bit of strategy and will practice point situations/simple match play/rules
Lessons are limited to 1 to 4 students to ensure proper social distancing. This means that you could schedule this lesson with a friend or family member and split the cost of the lesson given non-family members observe social distancing during the lesson. There is an additional $5 added to base rate for each additional person.
Kids or adults can set up a hitting lesson, doubles strategy session, singles strategy session or a regular lesson to deepen their knowledge about particular shots. The coach can adapt to the client’s needs of what they need/want to work on. They can also ask the coach have a look and pick things to work on based on their short term/long term goals. Essentially you will play against the coach to learn more about your game.
Professional Coach: Dominika Wozniak
Dominika Wozniak started playing tennis when she was 7 years old. She is originally from Bratislava, Slovakia and she was on the Junior National Slovak Tennis Team (10 years old to 18 years old). After she left Slovakia and came to the US. She played #1 singles and doubles at University Oregon (Div 1) and was ranked top 20 in the country in singles and doubles. After she graduated with Spanish and Int.Business undergraduate degree, she played professionally for 2 years and made it to 550 WTA in singles and 350 WTA in doubles. She moved to Ann Arbor, MI in 2010 where she has been coaching tennis at Varsity Tennis Center. She is also a conditioning/fitness coach and she opened up a Fitness Studio FitPoint in 2015. She now lives with her husband and two girls: Naomi (7) & Bridgette(5.5).
She will be in charge of all coaching staff and also available for some tennis lessons. ($80/hr)

**What we will offer
Clear communication within 24 hours of the lesson appointment if the appointment can not be kept whenever possible. (Inclement weather being the exception)

**Social Distancing Expectation of the member participant
Students will bring their own balls marked with an identifier and they will be the only ones to pick up that ball. There will be some for sale in the pro-shop. Beginners do not need to bring balls as they will be provided.
Will bring their own racquet, towel (if needed), and water bottle
Will keep 6 feet away from coach and other non-family participants
The student should be of an age/maturity that can follow directions especially as it relates to social distancing when around non-family participants.
Please plan to be no more than 5 to 10 minutes away as we do not have the ability to social distance in the pro-shop due to inclement weather for long periods of time.

If the tennis player is a beginner to beginner-intermediate, the instructor will provide tennis balls with the expectation that player will not handle the ball.
Students will learn the basics as: the grip, set-up, swing fundamentals, rules, etiquette, and safety.
Sonaal Verma started playing tennis when he was 10 years old. He is from Ann Arbor Michigan, played 1 singles for 3 years at his high school, and competed in local, regional, and national level USTA tournaments. He is now a member of the University of Michigan Club Tennis team. Tennis lessons duration can range between 30 minutes and 3 hours. Lesson duration will be determined by coach and client.

Nick Grosh started playing tennis when he was 6 years old. Nick has played doubles for the Huron High varsity tennis team for 3 years and is entering his 4th as captain of the team. For the last two years he has been an all-state honorable mention a state runner up and state champion. In his 3 years the Huron Team has placed 3rd, 2nd, and last year, won the state championship.
Availability: Monday-Sunday 11am - 2pm and after 6pm

Tim has been playing tennis for 10 years. He is from Ann Arbor Michigan and was a State Finalist at 4 singles, then played 2 singles at Skyline High School for the next three years. He has played competitive USTA tournaments for 7 years, reaching a national rank of #300 in 14U as well as participated on the Midwest Zonals team for 14U and 16U. He is now a junior at the University of Michigan and is a member on the Club Tennis team.

High School-Age Coach: Erika Sauld
Erika Sauld started playing tennis when she was 4 years old and competitively at age 9. Erika will be a sophomore at Skyline High School, where she is a multi-sport athlete. She swims for the Skyline High School team, where she made it to the State Championships as a Freshman and received an award for Most Improved Athlete. She missed her first season on the Skyline Tennis Team due to Covid 19. Erika plays year round tennis in the highest level groups at both Liberty Athletic Club and Chippewa. Erika has two younger siblings, ages 9 and 7, giving her a lot of experience teaching young children.

Thursday 9:00am -11:00am, after 5:00pm
Friday 9:00am - 11:00am
Saturday & Sunday 9:00am to 4:00pm
