Building on previous ability, the main goal of Gold Group is to help children continue to build fundamental tennis skills in the realms of technique, court movement, and shot selection. Rallying will be introduced, as well as scoring. This is a perfect choice for children with some experience who want to challenge themselves. It is also a good choice for older kids who are looking to start playing tennis. There will be a mix of competitive games along with drills and individualized instruction to create a dynamic and upbeat backdrop in a group setting.

This is a terrific choice as a companion group for the top level junior classes. This will not be a technique class, but an intro to match play and focus on strategy, scoring, and point construction. Kids must be able to serve, return, and sustain short rallies. The Development Group is great for players who want to play against other developing juniors, and offers the option to move up groups if the player rapidly improves.
The Development Group will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 - 3:00 PM starting the week of June 20 and continuing through the week of August 22.
The competitive tennis group will focus predominantly on match play. Players should be able to serve, return, score, and rally. There will be occasional drills and technique, but the majority will be match play, point construction, and training for matches. This summer, the team will also do a little bit of cross-training, including short runs. This group will compete against other clubs in Friday matches.
The Competitive Group will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 - 3:00 PM starting June 21 and continuing through August 25.
